Winterized...

Al and Nick took a few days off over the Holiday and went to JADE's to winterize. When they set out on the trip, it was snowing and a little icy. It was nice weather by the time they arrived, but very quickly the weather changed to cold and very windy. They left JADE's on Jan 3rd. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel was closed for a while due to high winds. Fortunately, by the time they got that far, the bridge/tunnel was re-opened.

Thank you to all of our guests for making 2009 our best year yet!

A view from the Great Room...

This is a shot of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. It was taken from our Great Room, through the screen, so it is not very sharp. But still a beautiful site to see, day or night. We love to see the beacon at night. When we purchased the lot our house sits on...the Lighthouse was "almost" at the end of our street...that was Nov '98. The Lighthouse was moved in 1999...the same year we began construction. Glad they saved the Lighthouse, but sad to see it moved.

Going quickly...

We have very few weeks available in 2009. September is now booked solid and the first 2 weeks in October are spoken for.

All of November is available. With the mild temperatures the OBX has in the fall, it's a beautiful time of year to get away.

A few weeks are available in December. We will be winterizing later in Dec. so please check for availability.
